Data in the app
Stored on your device
So you can pick up where you left off, Purzel stores on your device: your best score in endless, your adventure results (stars and best score per level), your daily puzzle results and daily streak, your marbles, unlocked looks and helpers in stock, and your settings (sound, haptics, reduce motion, language, chosen look, reminder and time). This data is not sent to us. Deleting the app removes it. If you back up your device via iCloud or otherwise, this data is part of your backup – as with any app.
No ads, no tracking
Purzel uses no advertising networks, no analytics or tracking services and no cross-device identifiers. The app needs no internet connection to play. If you tap Help, Privacy policy or Legal notice in the settings, this website opens in a browser window; “Rate Purzel” leads to the App Store. In the start menu Purzel reacts to a shake: for that the app reads the motion sensor only while the menu is open and stores none of it. The rating prompt Purzel occasionally shows after a good round comes from Apple; we don’t learn whether or how you rate.
Leaderboards (Game Center)
Purzel offers leaderboards through Game Center, a service by Apple. If you are signed in to Game Center on your device, the app signs in in the background at launch and sends your endless best score, your daily puzzle points and your number of adventure stars to Game Center, where other players can see them together with your Game Center name. Purzel only reads whether you are signed in; we receive neither your name nor your scores. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent. Apple’s processing is covered by Apple’s Game Center privacy information. You can sign out of Game Center or turn it off for Purzel in your device settings at any time.
Daily puzzle reminder
If you turn on the reminder in the settings, Purzel asks for permission to send notifications and schedules the reminders for the coming days on your device. There is no server sending messages; content and time never leave your device. You can turn the reminder off at any time.
Sharing
When you share your daily puzzle result, your device’s share sheet opens – you decide what to share and with whom; we receive nothing. The shared text contains only the date, your points and an emoji grid.
App Store
Purzel is distributed through Apple’s App Store, test versions through TestFlight. When you download it, Apple processes data such as your account information under its own responsibility. If you agreed in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides us with aggregated statistics and crash reports that cannot be traced back to you; in TestFlight you can also choose to send us feedback and screenshots. See Apple’s privacy policy for details.
Contact by email
If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message to reply and fix problems. If you write via “Send feedback” in the app, the app version and your device’s system version appear below your message (for example “Purzel 0.1.0 (1) · iOS 26.1”); you can delete them before sending. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering requests) or Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We delete your message once it has been dealt with, unless legal retention obligations apply.
